Groth Vineyards & Winery
In 1982, in Oakville, Napa Valley, California, Groth Vineyards & Winery was founded. Dennis and Judy Groth purchased a 121 acre parcel on the Oakville Cross Road In 1982, the family bought a second vineyard of 44 acres located south of Yountville. These vineyards, which total 165 acres on the valley floor of Napa, are the primary source of grapes for the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc wines produced by Groth Vineyards & Winery.
During the years 1985 to 1995, Groth Vineyards & Winery established its reputation as an outstanding producer of Napa Valley Wines. Also, production increased to approximately 40,000 cases annually.
The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay are Estate wines and production is limited to the vineyards under our control, and limited by the size of each crop. The Estate philosophy can reduce our production capacity.
Our objective is to produce the best wine that a vintage will allow. All of our resources; our property, the skills of our employees, are dedicated to this objective. We believe that if we make great wine, success will follow.
