Having been a big fan of Alain Dutournier's Au Trou Gascon, I had great hopes for Carre de Feulliant. Everything here is good, very good indeed and the level of execution and complexity is clearly one notch up. The food is sophisticated and elegant with haute technique. However, I still prefer Au Trou Gascon for it's rustic and soulful experience. |
